Rob is an innovative architect with nearly 25 years’ experience in the design and construction of residential and academic buildings in Canada, the US and the Caribbean. Rob specializes in academic, residential and mixed-use projects that insert complex programs onto constrained urban sites. Recent work includes the St. James Cathedral Centre, which provides much-needed administrative space and outreach services for the Anglican Archdiocese of Toronto, and the award-winning Thompson Hotel and Residences, which has helped to transform one of the City’s heritage industrial precincts. Current work includes Skyview Park, a 75,560 square meter residential project in New York City, the Friday Harbour Marina and Resort on Lake Simcoe, and a 50-storey condominium in downtown Toronto.
Rob graduated from the Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design at the University of Toronto. He has served as a Guest Critic at the Schools of Architecture at the University of Waterloo, Ryerson University, U of T, and Penn State University. Rob was a Studio Mentor for the Syllabus Design Program, Royal Architectural Institute of Canada.
